Halloween: The Game Story Challenges

·

Halloween: The Game has optional Story Challenges across the Prologue and Chapters 1–5. Select an objective before starting and follow its exact Stalk, target, weapon, location, or execution condition; simply finishing the chapter does not complete every challenge.

PrologueOrderlies, stealth, and the telephone-pole execution
Chapter 1Red Rabbit targets, residents, and weapon-specific attempts

Chapter 3Neighborhood resident sweep and completion/save checks
Chapter 4Bob, Lynda, stalking, and the film-sequence objective
Chapter 5Flashlights, police cars, and escaping

The official progression overview confirms six playable chapters with optional cosmetic challenges. These guides cover objectives supported by available evidence, not an invented checklist of all 36 slots. Chapter numbers follow Prologue plus Chapters 1–5; some player posts count Prologue as chapter one.

Stalk, Bloodthirst, and Executions

Read the target's required Stalk condition before grabbing. If the objective asks for a specific execution, ordinary melee damage is not a substitute. Approach the required environmental object with the victim alive and check the available interaction rather than assuming a nearby kill will count.

Stalk and Bloodthirst are not interchangeable labels. A fully stalked victim does not by itself prove that Michael meets a Bloodthirst-dependent execution condition. For the relevant mechanics, see Michael Myers. On no-alert attempts, also consider witnesses and discovered bodies: the target being unaware at the instant of a grab is only one part of the route.

Practical preparation:

  1. Record the exact objective and chapter number.
  2. Separate noisy kill-all attempts from stealth attempts until you understand the patrols.
  3. Identify the target, weapon, and execution location before committing.
  4. Finish the chapter and compare the saved challenge menu with any in-run notification.
  5. If progress disappears, investigate tracking before repeating a long route unchanged.

What Challenges Unlock

Story objectives award alternate outfits and cosmetic items; completing every singleplayer challenge awards a special Michael look. They are distinct from the account and character levels used for roster and loadout progression. See character unlocks.

Passive challenges track broader role activity. Progressive challenges follow a sequence tied to a Civilian, Michael skin, or weapon. Select the correct entry before assuming a story kill should advance a different challenge book.

Current Tracking Status

Patch 1.0.2, released September 11, addresses several named Story challenges. It is not a guarantee that every objective or save problem is resolved. The developer also acknowledges unclear objective wording. See the chapter-specific notes and challenges not working before adopting pre-patch workarounds.
