Chapter 4 Challenges
·
Chapter 4's objectives depend on timing and execution type, not just killing Bob and Lynda. Use a fresh focused attempt for the film-sequence challenge and avoid assuming that an ordinary kill recreates the required scene.
Documented Challenge Conditions
| Challenge | Focus | What matters |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | Bob/Lynda sequence | 1.0.2 fixes Lynda leaving the bedroom immediately after Bob dies |
| 4 | Bloodthirsty execution on a resident | Michael's Bloodthirst and the actual available execution |
| 5 | Stalking Bob and Lynda during their intimate scene | Timing and a clear view of the active animation |
| 6 | Recreate the film's sequence | Specific interactions, not only the victim order |
Challenge 4 is identified in a player completion report. The more detailed execution and timing advice below comes from September 12 discussion.
Bob, the Wall, and Lynda
Players describe stalking Bob before grabbing him for the wall execution. Do not replace the environmental interaction with a normal attack. Plan your position before the grab so the intended object is reachable.
The official 1.0.2 patch corrects Lynda immediately leaving the bedroom after Bob's death during Challenge 2. Update before spending time reproducing elaborate pre-patch workarounds for that behavior.
For the later sequence, a player route describes taking Bob's glasses, obtaining the sheet, and using the phone interaction on Lynda. The original post is removed but the route remains in its comments; it is community advice, not an official walkthrough.
Stalking During the Scene
For Challenge 5, players advise observing the actual Bob/Lynda animation rather than merely having both characters nearby. They also report that a closet can obstruct the view and suggest an exterior window as an alternative.
If the meter does not move, check the sightline and timing first. Moving to a different view is a controlled change; repeatedly waiting behind the same obstruction is not.
Bloodthirsty Execution
Community advice for Challenge 4 calls for Bloodthirst tier three and enough room for the execution. A cramped grab may offer a different action. Check the prompt rather than assuming that any execution performed at high Bloodthirst is the requested one.
Moving the encounter into a more open area is a practical suggestion, not proof that one particular location is mandatory.
Recreating the Film
The September 12 discussion also distinguishes Laurie's first and second closet encounters: players describe a slash at the first and a grab at the second that permits the eye/pocket-knife interaction. Simply chasing Laurie to the ending may miss that sequence.
Treat this as a focused cinematic-interaction attempt. Record which scene occurred if it fails; the guide does not claim a fully verified frame-by-frame route or guarantee that combining other challenges in the run will work.
