Chapter 5 Challenges
·
In Chapter 5, separate the action requirement from finishing the escape. Destroying a police car and successfully leaving the chapter are not necessarily recorded at the same moment. For flashlight attempts, update first: 1.0.2 changes an incorrectly strict completion condition.
Challenge 1: Flashlights
The official 1.0.2 notes say the challenge previously required flashlights to be completely drained. That requirement was fixed.
Do not follow an older instruction to wait until every flashlight battery is exhausted as though it remains mandatory. Read the current challenge text and perform its requested action. The patch note identifies the bad condition; it does not publish a complete route or every target location.
When testing, note the state of the objective before and after the flashlight interaction. If the chapter ends without credit, preserve that observation rather than assuming more time spent draining the same light will solve it.
Challenge 6: Destroy a Police Car and Escape
Players discussing Challenge 6 describe destroying a police car and then escaping. One successful attempt involved the car near the train tracks and a train escape, with completion appearing at the ending. Other players reported failures with different combinations.
A second discussion likewise reports success after destroying an exit-side police car rather than the roaming car.
Practical route to test:
- Identify a police car at the exit you intend to use.
- Complete its destruction instead of leaving after only damaging it.
- Finish the escape and watch the ending notification.
- Reopen the chapter menu to verify that completion persisted.
The evidence does not establish the train as the only valid exit. This is a community route for a confusing objective, not a new hidden requirement.
Avoid Combining Failure Cases
If the car was destroyed but no notification appeared until the ending, that may be the objective's reporting moment. If a completion notification appeared and then vanished from the menu, investigate persistence. If no destruction state occurred, revisit the action itself.
Keep screenshots of the car, end result, and saved menu. Changing the car, exit, difficulty, and route all at once makes a retry difficult to interpret.
When the Chapter Loops
September 9 players report Chapter 5 resetting as well as Chapter 3. Those reports predate the latest patch and do not prove a current universal failure.
Update and restart before retesting. If the ending repeatedly returns you to the start with nothing retained, use challenge troubleshooting; deleting your save is not a sensible first diagnostic step.
