Halloween: The Game Release Date — Out Now

Halloween: The Game released digitally on September 8, 2026, at 9 AM PT for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The game is out now.

Digital Deluxe pre-order Early Access began on September 4 at 9 AM PT. That access period is historical and no longer changes when a new digital buyer can play. Physical PS5 and Xbox Series X editions released on October 6, 2026.

What Platforms Is It Out On?

The digital game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC through Steam and Epic Games Store. PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, macOS, and Linux are not part of the confirmed release lineup.

Early Access Explained

The September 4 Early Access window was a Digital Deluxe pre-order benefit. It was not a separate unfinished Steam Early Access program, beta, or free trial. Digital Standard pre-orders did not include the same early gameplay period.

The game-wide September 8 release has now happened, so edition choice should be based on included characters, skins, and other current contents rather than an expired four-day head start. Compare the Standard and Deluxe editions before purchasing.

Physical Release

Physical Standard and Limited Collector's editions released on October 6, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X. Xbox Series S does not read discs, and no boxed PC version appears in the official announcement.

Some physical packages include advance access to earnable cosmetics. That means the included cosmetic unlocks immediately for the owner; it is not early access to the game. The physical editions guide explains the package contents.

Launch Updates

IllFonic released Early Access Hotfix 1 on September 5, followed by Patch 1.0.1 with the full launch. Patch 1.0.1 addressed a crossplay party issue, improved resident and police NPC pathing, and fixed additional challenge or achievement tracking problems.
